Exceptional Acoustic Design
The James Devin Moncus Theater, designed by Akustiks, features articulated baltic birch construction wall panels and a 40-foot high ceiling that minimizes harshness in orchestral music while enhancing reverberations for high-quality recordings.
Dynamic Reverberation Control
Venue design by Theatre Projects includes adjustable travelers and banner drapes, along with automated retractable acoustic panels, allowing for precise control of reverberation (between 1.8 and 2.6 seconds) and absorption.
Superior Isolation and Monitoring
The studio employs an Acoustical Isolation Joint surrounding the room which creates a complete air-gapped design. It is rated at NC15 with thick concrete walls and roofing which ensures minimal external noise, creating an optimal recording environment, and an isolated control booth which can accommodate up to 10 engineers.
