David Boudreaux

Studio Program Manager

David Boudreaux has dedicated his life to the power of music, crafting soundscapes that bring stories to life. With decades of experience in the music industry, he has lent his talents to countless projects across the United States, leaving an indelible mark on film, television, and theater. As a composer and orchestrator, his work has been featured on networks like Syfy (Status Unknown, American Horror House), Peacock (The Love Hunt, Love in Storytown), and award-winning short films (Co-Star Master Class). His keen ear and artistic insight as a session advisor have contributed to critically acclaimed scores, including Bunker and Average Joe.

Beyond composition, David’s expertise as an arranger and transcriber has allowed him to collaborate with some of the industry’s finest, including Tony Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, The Wrong Man). As a pianist and music director, he has worked on beloved productions like Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables, as well as live orchestral performances for Star Wars: A New Hope and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Now leading Louisiana Scoring, David is committed to fostering a thriving community of musicians, ensuring world-class performances for composers and production companies worldwide.

Aaron Thomas

Recording Engineer

Aaron Thomas has dedicated his life to mastering the art and science of sound. His journey began in high school, where his exceptional musical talents earned him state-level accolades and recognition. Fueled by a deep passion for music and a fascination with technology, he quickly transitioned into the world of digital recording during his college years, embracing the cutting-edge innovations that would shape the future of audio.

With over 20 years in the industry and hundreds of credits to his name, Aaron has built a formidable career spanning live event and concert production, studio recording, TV and film sound mixing, and sound system design and installation. His expertise has made him a sought-after audio engineer, trusted by industry professionals across disciplines to deliver unparalleled sound quality in high-pressure environments.

As the Technical Coordinator and Lead Audio Engineer for the Louisiana Scoring Program, Aaron seamlessly merges his classical music background with his technical prowess, ensuring world-class recording experiences. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to sonic excellence have solidified his reputation as a leader in the field. Passionate about advancing the arts in Louisiana, Aaron is proud to contribute his expertise to a program that elevates the region’s creative landscape.

Andrew Morgan Smith

Consultant

Andrew Morgan Smith is a seasoned media composer with over 75 feature film and television credits, including The Old Way, You Might Be the Killer, and Disney’s The Owl House. Over the past decade, he has built a diverse portfolio spanning more than 90 projects across film, television, video games, and other media, earning a reputation as a versatile and in-demand composer known for crafting compelling musical narratives.

A passionate advocate for live orchestral scoring, Smith has collaborated with world-class ensembles across the globe, including recording with the London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. These experiences bring depth and authenticity to his scores, enhancing the storytelling in every project he undertakes.

A native of South Louisiana, Smith has brought his expertise home by partnering with the Acadiana Center for the Arts to train and empower local musicians, expanding accessibility and diversity in orchestral scoring. Now, as an advisor and session producer for Louisiana Scoring, he merges his global experience with his commitment to excellence, fostering world-class music production and helping advance the art of orchestral scoring on an international scale.

Robin Birner, Louisiana Scoring Mixing Engineer

Mixing Engineer

Robin Birner is an award-winning video game composer and producer from Germany, renowned for his innovative fusion of historical instruments, classical influences, and authentic ethnic sounds. As co-founder of the composer duo Audinity, he has crafted music for some of the most celebrated strategy games of recent years, including Hearts of Iron IV, Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 3, Knights of Honor 2: Sovereign, and Foundation. His compositions have been performed by renowned classical orchestras, a testament to his artistry and craftsmanship.

Beyond composing, Robin has made a lasting impact on the industry by developing virtual instrument collections used in major AAA productions worldwide. His passion for audio engineering and orchestral recording has taken him to studios across Europe, where his expertise in mixing has elevated the sound of international films and video games. Known for his ability to refine and enhance audio to the highest standard, Robin seamlessly blends technical precision with artistic expression.
